To all District Deputies, Worshipful Masters, Wardens, and Brothers, as well as all affiliated and adoptive bodies:

Today I call on each of you for help. For a number of years the "Masonic Light" has served as a vehicle of communication for the Masonic Family.

For whatever reason we as a Masonic family have not done those things, which gave this important vehicle a meaningful purpose in and for the Masonic Family.

Today I solicit your help in revising this most important vehicle. I hereby urge each Lodge, Chapter and Court to organize the talent within your group to submit news worthy material to Byron E. Hams and committee members for the Masonic Light starting Oct. 1 2009 for inclusion in our quarterly publication the "Masonic Light".

I shall conclude my plea by paraphrasing a stanza of a poem by" Henry Van Dyke" I know that people are wonderful, but something seems to lack the past is too much and the people are looking back.

The glory of the present is to make the future free. We love our Lodge, Chapter, and Court for what she is, and what she is to be.
